Had a blast as usual! I can hardly contain my excitement for next year's racing season... I will be coming with the same driver, same car, but a whole new attitude....a faster one.

I have a SS and Dutras to get installed....

I walked in the front door around 3 AM, but the drive went without a hitch!

I love a good chase down in bracket races. Here is Aric Erickson chasing down Randy. Randy got the red light, but it is still fun watching this chase. In the first round I was having problems when I turned and looked down the track. The sun was hitting my eye wrong, so I was hoping everything was okay. So they aren't in the middle, but that is okay.

I hope you can see that okay.

On a previous post, I showed Roy versus Tony, with Tony winning, in Round 1. Upon review of the tape, I was mistaken I guess on the name. Tony is correct, but Roy should be listed as Warren. I had too many people to meet that day. Sorry Warren.

That is Roy. I don't know his last name, maybe his last name is Warren?

Nice photos there. First off, thanks Randy. I thought it was Roy. The announcer was wrong. Remember Wayne stated how confused they were in the first round.

Secondly Aric, I have the video of you and Doug racing when your car was acting up. I was at the finish line, and I saw your cars, and thought this was going to be one good race. Boy, was I stunned to see your car limping to the line.

As for the photos, on the group photo, it wasn't the 28 drivers that showed up. But it does show how great a response we had this last weekend.

That was a cool shot your cousin got. I wished he would have had one with Dan and Allen up front. I can tell this was first round. With those first two on the line we actually about the 4th race in round 1. So it doesn't show the full 28 cars, but is still a great shot.

And you got some really great shots of how cars were parked one behind another in the camping area. That was a wonderful turnout. And that area didn't even have all the cars that showed up.

I get to pull off that head on my car on Saturday. Can't miss the next Redding race. Thanks for the photos.

Speaking of "the next Redding race". How about moving this race to Sacramento? I know I heard at least one person say they wouldn't run Sacramento Raceway, but they could hardly run their track worse than the current management ran Redding. Unless I get first hand reports that the Redding track management has made great improvements to their operations I won't be back.

It is too bad that the Redding track "fell on their face" like they did last weekend... all our past races there went well.

I am OK with doing a points race at Sacramento, I have raced there alot and to be honest, that track has also had their "bad days"... but that is just part of the "day at the dragstrip" deal.

Please don't judge Redding on this last weekend. One, we have never had that many cars show up before. Two, as you may recall, and as evidenced with my video having the guy call Roy Warren, and Wayne coming back right after the first round reminding everyone to double check their number on their car with the tech card - our team induced some of their problems initially.

Then later on, I spot a couple Killer Bees heading to the staging lanes for the Sportsmans race. Someone assumed they called the slant sixes, so headed to the staging lanes. And everyone else followed that racer. Then the Killer Bees while in the staging lane, had to watch a couple other classes race before the guy in the booth said "I see the Killer Bees are already up here".

So in reality, we weren't perfect. And this was NOT a normal weekend at Redding. Yep, they had some issues and so did we.

All that to say, try Redding again, before blocking it out completely by one bizarre - but fun - weekend.

Oh yes, bring the points races to my home track. I would be there guaranteed.
