Hey, what about giving out awards like they did at the old SSCOA meets? Best narrow a-body, best mid a-body, best late a-body, best B-b0dy, best f-body, best truck/van, best engine, long distance award, etc.... I still have three of those hanging on my bedroom wall from back in the mid 90s when the SSCOA was still active. 3rd place and 1st place wagon for my old pink Volare wagon and best truck van for my old 79 Dodge extended.

I will try. I still can't guarantee it, but. depending on how much work I can get done the rest of this week, I might be able to sneak away for a couple hours.

I will be driving either my Ford van or my sister's Ford Pinto though. I no longer have a slant. :(

It is a fairly tight fit. The seat barely goes back far enough. Getting out can be a struggle sometimes, but when gas is over $4 per gallon for regular, the 25 MPG+ comes in handy.

Well I have decent news, and some not so decent news.

Decent news is, I finally got ahold of another one 'o my favorite slanted-engine vehicles, a Volvo 240.

Not so decent news is that I will not be able to afford to come up and visit this weekend.... no moneys.

Unless someone wants to give me about $100 bucks for fuel... my car has been thirsty lately...

I have one of those SOCCA awards, from Jack himself, I believe mine was for "Best 1965 Dodge Dart that actually showed up and ran".

On another note....it doesn't look like Motor is going to work. They are running day to day on permits right now. Not sure if they have booze to serve. And I KNOW I am going to be down for a drink Sunday afternoon.
So I'm thinking we either keep it up there in Edmonds at the Karaoke bar or even Mick Finsters. Or down in Seattle at Hooverville. They have fantastic Bloody Marys.

It's ok. I know I will have the oppourtunity to see everyone some day. Besides, you and Neil need to come down here... It costs lots of gas money for me to drive that 500 miles, and y'all are gonna be livin in portland soon anyways. :D
