Only reason I ask is just curiosity- way back in my skateboarding days the wheels were, and still are, rated on the A scale.
A nice soft wheel-for a fast ride on a less than smooth surfaces was rated at about 78A whereas a 99A was hard as a rock- good for sliding and riding on smooth surfaces.

Just wanted to get an idea on the feel of 'em.

We've got some good discussion going here — this is the whole reason for the beta test. I'll get Johnny to come take another look at this thread. I know he can vary the hardness/softness of the material, and can likely do the other mods we're talking about here. The number 60 stands out in memory for the hardness of the present material, but I'm not entirely sure of that.

You can drill holes in the poly to adjust the softness of the bushing...............

Dan, does he have to put those flanges on at all? Could they put it on one side of the bushing or not at all and then run a heavy washer on each side? They d look a bit thick. But they do look nice!

The bushing is two piece, so it presses into the spool from both sides onto the outer mount sleeve. Thinner would help with aligning the block bolts when changing the mount in the car, as we did.

I could pretty well press the bushing half into the outer sleeve by hand. It was snug, so I used my press.

Take a look at the first page of this post, and you'll see some pics of the bushing halves and the inner bolt sleeve.

Yeah I saw them. but if it was set up to be pressed in from only one side then it could be a one piece deal and there you go. Reguardless I want some.

Tonight's test drive.

Took off on a loop around a couple of sectors out here in farm land.
Other than the conspicuous absence of a working temperature gauge, and discovering a burned out turn signal bulb, the following things were noticed:

The vibration level is quite acceptable. I notice a bit more in the steering wheel, but it's quite liveable. Not even noticeable when under hard acceleration.

Shift point firmness is increased. Keep in mind, the tranny stalls at 2500 rpm, I run type F in an overclutched, and a shift kit'd valve body. (Strip type manners.) That means; firm is a good thing! Going into 2nd and 3rd feel a lot more positive in the seat of the pants. The car leaps forward on shifts.

As long as the rain goes away, I should get some track time in this weekend. Unfortunately, it's not looking good.

Perhaps a nice drive to Woodburn, perhaps not.
