I disagree.

These little pumps don't have enough suction to pull gas from the tank if they're in the engine compartment. And they certainly don't have enough suction to pull fuel past the 2 check valves in the mechanical pump.

You need to run the electric right next to the tank.


These little pumps have 2 checkvalves and don't seem to interfere at all with the mechanical pump. (you can blow thru them with your mouth)

Although they might interfer if you need to feed a 4bbl at WOT


Use a relay to power the pump, with on-off switch under the dash.

You can get fancy and use a large capacitor as a timer so that the pump only runs for about 30 seconds......
