It looks similar to the DEvils Own kit a bought for $300. I like the idea of putting the unit in the trunk. I may see if I can fit the water bottle only there. It just has to sit above the pump (ideally) and right now my pump is down low in from of the front wheel.

I might want to spend another $100 and get the devils own, which has a control box to set the boost rate it comes on at, and how much flow there is. A lot of the hardware looks similar though.

I had a similar problem on a turbo Chevy 6 and cured the problem with more ignition timing and a pressure retard indexed to the intake. MUCH better economy, too.
Explain more here please.

Ok the engine is built on the stand, yanking my motor tonight, time to start hooking the turbo stuff up

Ya i'll probably buy that trunk mount kit its my daily driver so it's gonna get beat on and i'd hate to constantly be refilling those little jugs how long does your jug of meth last? i'm thinking the trunk mount 1.5gallon would last alot of wot pulls.

Your 1.5 gln will last a long time. Mine is a 1/2 gallon and drops about 1/8 " to 1/4" on each run. It also has the 14 gph jet in it. Later

Sweeeet thats what i was hoping since this is my daily driver I didn't wanna have to refill that tank everyday.

Ok update, Motor is in trans is in, header to the turbo done and mounted, turbo (kinda done need a silcone connector)to intercooler back to motor done and mounted.

To do list-
run new fuel lines for elec pump from tank to carb and mount regulator
finish wastegate piping and downpipe
hook up boost gauge, temp gauge, A/F gauge
weld in subframe connectors
I'm sure some more stuff i'm forgetting about
OH can i start and drive the car? with the turbo not piped into the intercooler if i can't get the part i need by tommorow?

I wouldn't. I've heard of over-reving the turbo. Not sure if it is true or not.

Riddle me this, in theory a turbo spools more or less from the load on the motor because of the heat not so much the exhaust speed. So in theory if I wrapped my headers with header wrap to keep the heat in, my turbo would perform better or spool quicker right? Has anyone found any evidence of this being true or actually working, or would it be a very small change and thus not noticeable?

It spools from both actually. A wrap will help two ways. Keep temps and radiant heat down and help with a little faster spool.

Update- down pipe is done all the way back to the axle, only thing left is run fuel lines and vac lines.

Gonna try and start the animal tommorow after work!! :!: :D
