is that in park or when the car is in gear and what would be a good place to get the reading from for the vaccum guage

That would be in park. I don't recall where on your carb the manifold vacuum is at, or if you have a tap on the manifold. You might pull the PVC hose and find a way to adapt the vacuum gauge to it.

i will try and get a reading from the pvc hose the reading i am getting when i am in park is 15 and in gear is 10 so most likely i have a vaccum leak some where i guess i should do about changing my vaccum lines which i will do this weekend
