i started with 15deg then hook the vac pod up and had to tighten the spring load alot to get it to stay at 25 degs when i throttle up the engine to increase manifold vac level. i only have 5bls vac at idle and 18bls on decleration, that under load . when i started increacing my intitial timing i never checked the vac adj timing but it should be 30deg if everything stayed the same. i only pick the 25deg because that was the most my high comp engine would handle with out hurting the top piston ring. |

well i know its been a while guys. i guess i got a little burned out on my car. work and school have been really busy. here are a few pictures though. one is of my car at a local show. and the others are of my hood i put on sunday. i need to clean up some of the cuts, but i just wanted to get the hood back on the car to free up some room in the garage. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

oh yeah, i forgot another update. i finally tapered the opening in the adapter, and redesigned it a bit. i was worried about the blower gasket leaking because the sealing surface of the blower ran right over the countersunk bolt that holds the plate to the intake. what i came up with is a second piece with a custom gasket that seals to the bottom plate and gives the blower a nice unobstructed metal surface to seal to. i also had a local machine shop surface both pieces to make sure they were flat. i know this thing is thick, but it came in handy when i tapered the opening, and i didnt want to worry about the top plate warping, so i went a little on the thick side. im not trying to make this car super fast, im just trying to have fun with it, and make people look twice. so far its been working haha. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks guys. That rtv trick is good to know. I thought about that but wasnt sure if it would work. I have only taken the wagon out twice and it didn't have a hood. But it sure did draw a crowd. |

Man that is pretty freaking awesome !!!! On the RTV I would use the grey in the caulk gun tube available at most autopart stores, same stuff as the MOPAR grey RTV, and it seals everything, and is oil resistant, fuel eh as long as you don't soak it in gas your good to go lol -Mike |
