Interesting. In my Dodge van I am running aftermarket seats and I had to fabricate new mounts. The mounts let the seats slide back much farther than stock. I am also going to swap to a tilt steering column with a Grant 8 inch diameter deep dish steering wheel. All in the name of comfort. |

Also, I double checked- I am 26 inches across, not 22. |

Quote: Quote: Quote: The problem with the ergonomics is me. I am 6'4" tall and about 22" across the shoulders and hips and I weigh 304 pounds. I am a big boy. That is one of the reasons I like vans.
I'm slim, but am 6'7" tall. I modified my driver's seat mounts to increase both leg room and head room. It made a huge difference. I plan to write a post showing how I did it when I have some time.Naturally a < 16.5" steering wheel would help, but I really like the original steering wheel in my '65 dart. |

Fab64, That would be great. I don't know where to start since I'm a software programmer with novice mechanical stills. |

Ok, sorry for the delay. I finally finished my post which details how I increased leg and head room. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions. Roger |
