Oh Man!! Not another tee shirt! Gosh, if we use Dennis' really straight Duster we should probably upgrade to at least Polos though! Another very generous offer Dennis! I think from your description and the pictures I've seen of the car that it's too nice for this type of venture, but I'm all in with my junk! |

put me in need to finish the D-150 first, but this is something i could get to this fall, depending upon how big we want the team to be I know a couple of Indy guys that may have an interest... |

Very generous offer, Dennis. I think your car is probably too nice, tho. Will contemplate all of this... Keys will be wt reduction, front discs, and a cheap powerful motor. Lou |

I looked through and downloaded the saftey requirement information and the rules. It looks like we could add the necessary bars to the black Duster fairly easily. I have the big aluminum "fuel cell", but we may need to look at something with a bladder (?)... Disc brakes? Check! Weight Reduction? Not a problem! Cheap powerful motor? Have to talk about that one... May have some options... I've got those tires/wheels from Dave Mapes that aren't doing anything... I'm sure we can come up with most everything we need. I'm all in! Chicago, IL - 9-10 June (enter by 31 March) Washington, D.C. - 16-17 June (enter by 7 April) Charlotte, NC - 22-23 September (enter by 14 July) Chicago, IL - 13-14 October (enter by 4 August) The last two may be doable... |

The Duster has had about everything cut out of it you can cut. It is pretty much as light as you can get w/o swiss cheesing everything like Greg and Mark. Any parts you need let me know, I may have it laying around. |

Oh yeah, there is also a '64 Dart GT body in my shop that is available. I can't give it away, but it would go reasonably cheap. Wookie and John have seen it, it really exists. |

Rob,, remember to focus on the getting the drag car(s) ready. I know that I will be tied up this summer getting the D-150 back together an ready to take to Clay City this fall. . For actual garage work and funding..That has to remain my top priority.to do something like an endurance road race, I think that we would need to have a solid plan and even better execution. so my thoughs are 1. we figure out what is needed, how to fund the project,,,, who is going to do what,,,over the next few months, 2. have ourselves in position to put a car together this next winter 3. have the Lemon Head Duster ready to race the spring of '13 what do you think about that? regards DT |

At least that would show that she cares... Quote: The Duster has had about everything cut out of it you can cut. Your Duster still sounds like the perfect GodsRods Duster III. You DO wanna play cars WITH us, right? Quote: Rob,, remember to focus on the getting the drag car(s) ready. Quote: John That sounds like a very reasonable, common sense approach. So I'm sure Mater won't go for it! Duster is ready for test & tune this weekend. I put the motor plate on the Challenger engine and started installing the scatter shield and new trans cooler in the Challenger last night. I won't set aside the other stuff just to work on a LeMONS car unless everyone else is on board and wants to go "balls out" this season. I'm a bit "flighty", but you gotta admit... I've got ENTHUSIASM!! I'm on board with this LeMONS thing as much as anyone else wants to go with it. I was thinking along the same lines as you as far as organization, planning, deciding lanes of responsibility, etc John. The Lemon Head theme has likely already been done... |
