Sorry to hear that Norm. :(

I was checking the weather this morning and made the call to stay home...

Chase and I just got back from US60... I think he made about 5 passes. I made 3.

We will try to go back tomorrow (oops! today... )

How far is Knoxville from you Rob? You not going to try to come down Saturday at all.

It's 230mi one way for me. Probably the same or more for Rob.

Yup. 231 one way.

Honestly, I was a little apprehensious about towing that far right off the bat, especially in the rain. The main concern is hard braking.

We towed to US60 without any issues. I am going to look into adding brakes to the dolly though.

I sure hope you all get to race today!

It was a downpour here all morning, so we'll see if we get to go back again today.

I'll call Gary later today to see how things are going for you all.

Talked to Charlie at 10:30 Saturday morning, he said beautiful day with blue skies, so 2 races in one day should make a full day of racing. Fixin' to head that way in a few minutes, takes about 2 hours for me.

Talked to Ryan and they were drying the track at 5:00PM. Looking at radar it could go either way. Not sure how they were going to start at 5:00PM with time runs and allow us to run 2 slant 6 races. It would probably make for a late night for sure. I just hope they get one in!

Glad I passed. I stayed home and cut clumpy wet grass after our monsoon. Tried to work my bees without my suit. (note to self.........work them when the sun is out and hot! Not cloudy!)

Got zinged 7-8 times! Put my suit on after that.

Well,
The second day was rained out as well. Just got a call from Ryan a few minutes ago, and they are packed up and headed to our friends home.

Next time he wants to tow for 800 miles and not race, I think I will just tell him to give me his gas money and I can spry him with a garden hose at home! i may even do it for half price!!

Finally rained it out around 6:15. I heard several racers say it was not managed very well. Could have gotten in 2 solid hours of racing with the Slants going first, but they didn't.
