Post subject:  Dinner

Dinner (that is at mid -day for all you city slickers) will be provided for everyone on Saturday by my wife (Patti) and Ryan's wife (Whitney). We usually do this on Sunday but Saturday' forecast looks much better.
There will be plenty of food and we will have some water and sodas too. We want you all to help yourself to our goodies! That is why they will be there. So don't be bashful.

Look forward to seeing everyone.

Rick I hope you are right!

Things could get interesting with the Hurricane working up the coast.

Romeo Called and said that he will not be coming down due to the possible rain in the forecast :-(

See y'all Sunday rain :-( or shine:-)

I am really looking forward to this. My buddy Jim is coming along, and we will bring 2 cars (both Valiants). He will race the yellow car and I will pilot Project V. Hope the rain holds off. Talked to Will last night and we are in for a show...

The weather still looks good for Saturday. They changed Sunday's forecast again overnight. I'm done looking at them. I will be there either way.

Rick

I would encourage people not to pay for both days when you enter on Saturday. That way if it is rained out Sunday, your not out the $15 for Sunday.

Don't forget. Only pay $15 at the gate. Then have a $20 for me inside.

See ya soon.

Thanks, Rick. Any chance we could get a pass or two if we get there at 5 PM on Sat? Bummer I have a conflict, but will be there Sunday in any case.

Cheers, Lou

Elmer was pretty sure that we have a 5 hour window. 11:00-4:00PM. His words were, "We will be done at 4:00"

So I would guess not.

Rick

PS. Lou, if the points on the board are right, you are risking losing the East coast championship by not being here Saturday. Just saying..... Frank will be there Saturday. and he only needs 2 rounds to catch you!!

OK, no problem.

I just took a blast around the neighborhood during lunch with Project V. Comes off the line well and no problems with revving in 1st gear and just into 2nd. Hopefully it will be consistent on the track as it is. Hoping this new carb (650 DP w/annulars) and Clifford 4bbl will pick me up some ET/MPH, but might take some jetting too...

See y'all soon!

Sorry guys, the weather forcast has us staying home.

Post subject:  Race update

Just a quick update.

No rain today, and we still had 11 cars. The Sunday race was already cancelled due to the impending storm.

Frank Funk who was leading in the Rookie of the year points, just went ahead and sowed everything up on the East Coast by winning everything today. He also should have passed Lou to be the East Coast Champion. I'm not sure that has ever happened before. Brian Droschak was the R/U. Congratulations to everyone.

The East Coast has been a rainy mess this year and we did not get a lot of races in. But the way Frank has been driving, I'm not sure it would have mattered. He ran in 3 races and only lost 1 round!! Pretty impressed.

Pictures to follow!

Mark is on the West Coast, although I'd love to see him race here!

Will in the new turbo car had gremlins all day and made made 3 or 4 runs. I think he ran one in the elevens. I witnessed it break those massive slicks loose when it hit 2nd gear and I think it was spinning through 3rd. This car will be wickedly fast once he gets it all sorted out. Deep in the 9's I would guess!

Ryan ran some 11.8-11.9's in the Valiant
