Mike Andreas can't make it, so I took him off the "Hopefuls" list. Charlie Schmid too. I also took poor ole Cookie off the list. Get well soon my friend. With a little luck (maybe a lot) we could tie Mason-Dixon for the highest car count this year at 17. If everyone on the top list AND the 5 remaining hopefuls race we could actually have 18 for the "win"... Rob Simmons Chase Simmons Lou Madsen Ryan Covalt Whitney Covalt Brian Mimken Ron Hamby Rodney Hargis Meril Bruner Gary Bruner Lukus Bruner Courtney Bruner Turbo Toad Hopefuls: Alanna Hargis Larry Chesney Seymour Pederson Jack Everhardt Mark Charapich Probably Nots, But You Never Knows.. Norm Foster Ron Parker Howard Davis Barry Harrison Dennis Schumers Will Burns Any others...? |

Mater and Cookie, The bounty was just for the first one to make it down a track in a Slant 6 racecar at a Slant 6 race. So, Rob, all you have to do is make a full pass and you have it. I said nothing about needing to win a round or grudge match. I also hope things improve for you soon, Wayne! Just clarifying... Lou |

I think we are safe, because I'm not at all sure the first two on your list will even make it there! If you have 18 that would be great!!! Go for it. Rick |

Went to the Doc today. New antibiotics - this makes the fourth kind. Two inhalers and an oral steroid. Trying to make it to work tommorrow. I would rather tow a non runnin' car to KY then put up with this! The positive side watchin some old tv shows on youtube inbetween naps. Watched an old Kolchak The Night Stalker with Darrin McGavin. Loved that show as a kid. I hear that Depp is bringin' him back. Thanks for all the get well stuff! Later guys! |

Next year I get 3 weeks of vacation, and I can split 2 up any way I want. I may actually get to go to more Slant races next year. Unless contract negotiations go bad in Decenber and they close the plant. |

Rob, thanks for the offer on the car swapping. I told Whitney and she would love to drive one of your cars instead of the Dart. So if you don't mind running the Dart that would work out great. One question, do you like nitrous? If so how much? |

It would be great to see you at more races next year Dennis! You've got all winter to get the 'Tuna together. Then you and Cookie can challenge Possum & me to some honest to goodness Grudge Matches! Hey Ryan,That's great! I'll get Chase behind the wheel of the GodsRods Duster II for him to get a feel for it (probably at the test & tune Friday night at Clay City I've never run nitrous and it makes me a little nervous, but I'm willing to try it if you're comfortable with that. You have bigger oatmeal raisin cookies than me running nitrous on your tow vehicle that far from home! You remember the weather at Clay City last year! Extended forecasts aren't worth much, but right now it looks like this Friday Clear. High of 72F. Winds less than 5 mph. Friday Night Clear. Low of 52F. Winds less than 5 mph. Saturday Clear. High of 68F. Winds less than 5 mph. Saturday Night Clear. Low of 50F. Winds less than 5 mph. Sunday Clear. High of 66F. Winds less than 5 mph. Sunday Night Clear. Low of 50F. Winds less than 5 mph. |

Whatever Dude... Hell, I may even have the 340 car done by then. I'll post some pictures of GodsRods Duster II RACING at Clay City for you. I may not be behind the wheel, but it will be racing. I'll fiddle with the Challenger (and maybe GodsRods Duster III I can't speak for Cookie... He's YOUR protege.... So his shortcomings as a racer are YOUR failures as a mentor... ("Shortcomings/Failures" line adapted from the movie Gladiator in the scene where the son murders his father... Kinda like Cookie takin' a ready-to-race car given to him by Bagel and takin' it all apart... Quote: Hey we are worth the wait! Sides this is what Mater will look like after I squash him but good!

Don't call me when your crank is laying out on the track and you don't know how to get home. I guess you will just have to drive the race car home. Or you can just stay with Rob till the banquet! Rick |

That would be cool! Rick Andrew is off to college, so you can have his room. In fact, you can have the whole bottom floor with your own bathroom, entrance, etc... |
