I find it extremely unlikely all the rings would be bad. I have accidentally installed rings upside down and that did some wacky things, so that's a possibility, maybe?Honestly I couldn't say because I had someone build the motor . I do know for sure the I have stock 225 rods with the weisco pistons which are shorter. Meaning it would be .3" or so cylinder length to the combustion volume. |

I would look at the easy things first. Are your valves seating all the way? |

I put every cylinder at TDC and verified by making sure there was no pressure on the springs, then I applied pressure to the cylinder. I couldn't hear any air coming through the intake or exhaust and didn't see bubbles in the coolant. |

If there's no air escaping from the dipstick tube either, then maybe it's time to see just how far down the hole the piston sits at TDC. |
