Post subject:  Why V8 get that thinking and not Slant 6?

If that logic was true in one case ( V8 ) why didn't it apply to Slants?

Airflow across the condenser and radiator were considered adequate with the 7-blade (A/C spec) fan and 3½" 6-blade water pump impeller on the 6-cylinder engine, just as the big-block V8s all got a 3.7" 6-blade impeller with or without A/C. It might not have been optimal; there might have been gains to be made by specifying a different fan drive ratio and water pump impeller for A/C on the 6-cylinder and big-block engines, but the watchword was adequate. Chrysler never spent red cent one they didn't absolutely, positively have to spend to make the cars saleable. There's a long list of little optimizations and refinements and perks that V8 cars got that 6-cylinder cars didn't. It varies by year and model, but you can find such differences throughout the car. In the A/C system, in the transmission, in the electrical system, etc.
