Cam card numbers are at the cam, at a specified amount of lift, typically .050. At the valve adds the ratio of the rocker to the figures, and throws the numbers off.
Too bad I didn't get my internet back until tonight.....on a slant it's always done from the pushrod side, or from a jigged pushrod (easier for the BL head user to degree in the cam without the head on in case you lose a lifter or have to pull the assembly, and allows one to check the piston rise in relation to the valve lift if running high compression before bending a valve the hard way). If you use stock rockers the ratio is anything from 1.46-1.48...so the 1.5 numbers will never work right for the end user...I had to go through a couple buckets of rockers just to get a nice uniform set that at least had a nicer ratio above 1.465 on my last hipo build.

Looks like you figured it out, but lurkers may need this tidbit when doing their build. FYI.
