I think I was looking on Summiit at centers and "GM style" universal ones came up or something. Some where push on or snap on and cover the lug nuts, so that's what I meant, sorry.

I've had Mopar cop car wheels on my Volare since the mid 1990s. Sometimes I've had the dog dish hubcaps on 'em, but not at the moment.

These are 215 60R/15's. I painted the centers with the same paint as I used on the rims (though it doesn't look like it on the second one due to the beauty ring reflecting so brightly around the center).

I installed a proportioning valve and new master/booster. It's amazing the ride difference with 15" tires and actually having brakes that stop the car like a modern vehicle should...

These are 215/60R 15's all the way around on 15" x 7" cop car wheels dressed like Rallye's (see above posts).

So, I just installed these tires/wheels/brakes and got the car aligned.

I parked it at work today, and when I came out to go home, I noticed that the front tires had vastly different distances from the front of the tire to the edge of the fender. Specifically, the passenger tire was about 2.5" from the fender lip and the driver side tire was about 1/2" away. I was thinking the caster was set way forward on the driver side and "normal" on the passenger side, i.e. the passenger side tire was more centered in the wheel well, at least it looked that way.

When I got home, I parked my Dart in my driveway, backed it in as usual, so it is parked downhill. Just out of curiosity, I checked that spacing again. Now, the gap is smaller on the passenger side than on the driver side. See pics:

What gives? I'm sure all my bolts, tie rods, strut rods, ball joints, etc. are tight. Does the mechanism have that much play in it? Maybe this is normal, I just didn't realize there was that much play. Both times the tires are pointed straight ahead. At work, the car was oriented slightly uphill, now it is pointed downhill.

Any suspension gurus see a problem?

good questions, I'll find out. I didn't check wheelbase measurements. I took it to the shop today to have them readjust the rear drums; I asked them to check the frontend as well. When I dropped it off, on level ground, the distances were pretty close to those in the pics when it was aimed downhill, i.e. pretty similar.

Also, take what I said with a grain of salt, perhaps it was an optical illusion, it was dark outside.

As a lawyer I can tell you that eye witness testimony is the least reliable form of evidence....

I'll investigate further and report back.

...I went back to the alignment shop, they couldn't get the caster correct on the passenger wheel, it is about 0.5" further back than the driver side according to them.

I crawled under there, measured everything, checked the T-bars, K-frame, LCA's, pins, struts, etc, etc. I can't see any difference in measurements, they are very close to the same. The car doesn't pull to one side on straights, handles well from what I can tell. The difference is only discernible when measuring from the front fender lip to the front of the tires. Also, depending on if I'm facing uphill, downhill or on flats, the passenger tire may be closer, the same or further away from the fender than the driver side. I can't seem to find any play in the tires and the strut rods are showing the same amount of threads on both sides, measurements the same, LCA pins are fully in bushings, torsion bars are in place, retainer snap rings in place, etc.

I did some reading on the web, apparently this is a common problem with the 67 dart. Every instance I came across was with the passenger tire, never the driver side. There was even a conversation about people intentionally making one side further forward than the other for racing purposes (aligning with the starting sensor at the track) but that seemed silly to me.

Anyway, I can't find anything wrong and it seems to handle well.
