Pretty rough. Even the ring lands look crummy. If you are desperate*, then use it. Otherwise....replace it.



*Like in that movie with Ray Liotta (No Escape) where they are in the future and all of civilization has crumbled and they're desperate to get a small block Chevy distributor.

They have deposits on them, the damage is in the top part above the top compression ring groove. I have desided to use the old pistons if the new piston rings will have an in spec clearance in the ring grooves, if not then I'll replace the pistons. One piston costs about 38€ here.
