Posting a picture of the set would be helpful.

Many of the OF factory ones had more than the 3 spokes on the cam sprocket.

Here you go. It has been too long since I paid close attention to cam gear design for me to say if this is a good or bad design. Someone who has more experience than me will have to evaluate it.

The only thing I have heard about that style is stories of cracked cam gears in line with the long slot.

Yep, that seems to be the only timing chain on the market besides the JP / Rollmaster. I'd picked up one earlier and sent it back when I realized I had that sprocket - Doug's book and other sources report it's prone to cracking at high RPM.

So Reed, what RPM level do you intend to spin the slant that your are accumulating parts for. Must be a maximum effort all out race motor.
Trust me, I believe in the philosophy of, ‘it’s your vehicle build what you want’ so do what you want. But are you also planning on putting in an: cam, lube system, tranny and rear end that will make power at 6000 RPM, or are you building a motor for a performance street driver that will make power at low to mid RPM levels. Like 1200 to 4000 RPM?

Well, the only slant I have anymore is the one in my 76 D100. Currently, my plans for the truck are daily driver with highway driving. Around here that means the ability to cruise at 70-80. It has 3.9 rear gears so that means the motor will be turning around 3500 RPM on the highway until I get my A500 installed.

So, short term, the motor will probbaly never see the high side of 3800 RPM. However, I do have long-term fantasies of adding a turbo and going racing with my truck (yeah, I'll lose, but I will have fun doing it), so at some point I might begin to be concerned with cam gear strength. Maybe I will keep this timing set around and throw it in the daily driver motor and save the fancy stuff for a furutre race engine build.

Here's what came in this past week, I'm not an engineer, but it seems durable and will install as easily as the original.

I've managed to work with Liberty on creating a single part number for this set (currently individual item order only) to make it easy for anyone to order. I'll post back when the website is updated and ready for retail orders.

looks good, certainly stronger than the single roller with slotted cam gear set.... especially if you run a radical engine with heavy valve springs.... don't sound too terrible of a price for it all being available as a set. there are just "so many" /6s running out there these days.... yet with 2 of the 3 parts to that set being the same as what a BB Mopar takes that should help make them a little more popular which does play into the price of something I mean look at all those damn Chevy SB parts, the popularity of them (gag) has alot to do with why parts are so cheap for them.

Yes that double roller set was pretty much what you got from the mopar / direct connection double roller kit that was offered for the slant back in the day.
