When there are a couple of races, not too far apart, but a good distance from home, It might be an option to leave the race rig near the race track.
Last year, I had considered racing at Clay City, leaving the race rig, in Ky or Tn. Then driving home to Fl, and return, pick up the rig, and race at London, Ky.

Yes Definitely an Idea that I have considered as well.

If you guys remember, the only reason I was able to race Knoxville two years ago was because we had to take care of business for my wife’s dad in Cosby TN. It was a real mix of emotions for the whole family. It was probably rude of me to bring the car, but I did. Most of you probably didn’t meet my wife Valerie since she left ahead of me for the long drive home.

Steve Mayfield was a musician, mostly Irish and mountain music. Every year he would get a job in Gatlinburg as a street musician, walking around the town playing music in front of stores.

Valerie is not fond of the idea of going back with the race car with an extended trip into Gatlinburg and Cosby. But that doesn’t mean I won’t make the trip for racing purposes.

Besides, the Bruners are very nice people to hang out with. Meril will talk your ear off. But you might convince him to part with some parts.

Thanks for the input, Jeff! Do you think you might join the banquet discussion and awards?

It's ok Rick. You can just say you're scared to race me.
Well, Rick dodged a bullet. Dallas messaged me tonight that due to low car counts and high fuel prices KD has pulled the plug on the Inline race. Dallas also had to cancel one in Iowa for the same reason. Tough out there this year.

Well Dennis, I would say let's meet up in Clay City, and I'd really like to come, but unfortunately I will be setting on the beach (or air condition condo) with my wife and family!

With only two racers potentially planning to attend the Farmington race, I'm gonna pull the plug if no one else chimes in by this Friday (8 July). That's two weeks before the event.
