Chase and I just got back from US60 in Hardinsburg, KY. I think he made 5 passes in the mid 12's. I made 3 passes. Best was 8.89, worst 9.11... We're gonna try to go back tomorrow (today). |

I re-looked at my time slips again last night. That last pass of the evening was actually 8.89! RT: .0928 60 ft: 1.8568 1/8th: 8.8917 MPH: 75.52 Hey 'Zilla! That puts GodsRods Duster II neck & neck with The Piggie on motor! |

Time got away from me lately, so I haven't been by the garage in about a month. I assume the Duster is still there... Plan at this point is to just tow it to Clay City and hope for the best (kinda like every Slant 6 race I've been to so far... 4.62s and 4500 stall may be a bit much for the 1/4 mile... |

It looks like Chase might be driving GodsRods Duster II at Clay City. We're doin' some car tradin' & such fer that event. He'll get his first taste of it at the Friday test & tune... Should be fun! |

GodsRods Duster II made another 20 passes this weekend at Clay City, KY! First pass at Friday test & tune was a 15.18 because I misjudged the finish line. First full pass was a 14.51 @ 90 MPH. Once I got more comfortable with it and started playing with launch RPM and shift points it settled into a string of solid 13.90-13.95. The last pass of the weekend was the Slant 6 final against Meril Bruner. He was gracious enough to treat me with a redlight, so I ran it all the way out for the best ET yet. Here are the numbers: Dial-In: 13.90 Reaction: -.080 (Meril was"First to Foul" with a -.052 on his 14.12 Dial-In) 60 Foot: 1.818 330 Foot: 5.443 1/8th Mile: 8.603 1/8th MPH: 77.232 1/4 Mile: 13.749 1/4 MPH: 93.431 Very Happy! More to come... |

Well,... I didn't get grubby after all. I did go to the garage with plans of cleaning the clutter and getting something (anything) done... I was overwhelmed by the magnitude of the task and just wandered out back and did some yard work instead. |

Seeing Rick Covalt post his times with his new engine kinda sorta motivates me to pull the tarp off the Duster and take it to Ohio Valley or US 60 for some fun. His times right out of the box are right behind mine, so I guess Mike and I had better get busy! (I predict that Rick's ET's will be lower than mine by his next outing. |

Depending on the weather this weekend (doesn't look too good The Duster just needs the carb reinstalled, some water poured in the radiator and a splash of gas in the fuel cell to go play some more... Oh yeah,... I s'pose it needs some new racin' tires too... (If it's raining I'll stay in the garage and focus on the Challenger. |
