I have been watching a bunch of you tube videos and this one stuck me as very interesting. Sherman Sligh built this engine in 1969. What I took away from it was, yes it was hard, yes it was difficult, yes it was expensive. But he did it and man did it fly! This is not new news, I have known about hybrid ford heads since I was a teenager. Yes, slants don't come from a catalog to much. Just hard dedicated hard work. My Mentor back in VA, Dave Lewis told me he sells the good parts and runs the Junk! RIP Big Dave. Oh Yea, he Won Indy Nationals back in 1965.

There is several channels on YouTube, where they are sectioning LS heads and using them on the 300 Ford. |

Me too, but they are being hot rodders and using what they can find.I just wish we had a simular building stock. I am itching to do something different. Got to make this Colt start going faster. |

Thanks Zilla, I didn't know I was looking at that engine!?!? There is another engine in the midwest that I was thinking about buying. But if I go slow it cause I am a dummy. If I go fast with someone else engine, it's cause I bought it. Anyway today I got a half day of work in. Out with the old, and in with the new.

See? I'm already way past that buy/build stuff. I want to have the most fun on the least money spent. My point is when trying to go fast, size matters.
