Stan I found my problem with my 40mm not working in my car. I will send you my final settings later this evening. They sure do look and run good!

Thanks Rick!
I spent the better part of my day trying to get all the manifold/head bolts tight.
It was MUCH easier with the 4 barrel, I can't get a wrench on a couple of the studs!
Man I wish I could get a message to Jack Clifford!

I bet you can in the afterlife.. for now just make some custom 1/2" box and open end wrenches with your welder and grinder.

You're a flexible mechanic too right Stan?
Working on Skookum Slant manifolds allows you to do mechanics' yoga poses as you reach to get the #5 and #4 Bolts tight on the bottom.

:D :D :D

A 1/4" ratchet, assorted extensions, and flex sockets do wonders.

I am actually amazed at how easy my long tube Cliffords & Red Line are to install. I would much rather remove and install them than any stock manifolds I have ever done. Jack got those headers right! :D :D My Red line manifold comes out from the head further than your Clifford does too.

Trust me I can install a slant intake.
The Clifford was designed by satan.

That's what you get for being all fancy schmancy Stan.

Clifford only ever made 2 good things, headers and the 4 barrel intake.

Like so many things in my life I am self taught.
I have made a bunch of mistakes in life, but don't often make them twice.

Years ago I had a Weber intake that I think was from South America or Austrlia, don't remember.
I sold it to a street racer from NY City, no kidding.
He drove down to Yorktown and took it back with him.
It was an inch or two longer than the Clifford, more along the Redline runner lenght.
So when I got the Weber itch again, I just was seeing Clifford intakes.
Don't see any now.
The Redline was not around then.
I have no doubt that both are good manifolds.
And I am praying that the Clifford gives me a little performance advantage.
I need to look again at the chart of runner lenght to RPM.
But most of the problem is these 1 3/4 tube headers.
Can't complain, if not for my good friend Will, I might not be on the track yet.

You could persuade him to come race with us at Motor Mile! I still have a set of his headers hanging on the wall. :D :D

FYI, the Clifford Weber intake has shorter runners, but substantially larger runner Xsection (L and W dimensions) that the Redline.
