Every thing is looking great Stan! Been out of town. Still trying to get the car together. Yes some ground down wrenches and a long extension for the webber intake. I will pick the headers up when you least expect it. lol Will |

I am still working on my Weber install. Thanks Rick for the tips and help last night. It did something today that it has not done since I got the engine in the Colt. It IDLED! 1100 RPM, which is something I could not get the single four to do. It would hunt around and then drop, so you would have to blip the throttle. Then it would hunt some more. Anyway, it's not quite right yet, it has what sounds to me like a miss and it has an ocasional pop in the header. So, fixing the leaks and tuning will be what I am working on next. Here is a link to a short video and a current picture. https://youtu.be/M5t14zgsJRY

Webers/IR should idle down way lower than a plenum-type manifold. Tilley's weber/NA roadrace engine would idle down to 800 with a 268@0.050" cam! Low end power should be much better too. I hope to get my IR EFI setup going in the next 6-12 mo... Lou |

Yes they do! My car does pop into the exhaust a little especially when it is cold.I figured that is the nature of the beast with a huge cam and 11.5 to one engine. Not nearly as noticeable when warmed up and not at all with the exhaust on it. Yours look great Stan, and I was glad we got to talk last night also. |

But there is nothing to be gained with fuel injection on a engine the only runs at wide-open throttle is there? It seems like it’s just more electrical complications for a dummy like me. Perhaps ease of tuning?? |
