The engine is in and all hooked up. Just about ready to fire it up.

Wow! Congrats. Wonderful that you and Howard are getting to work together on this. He is undoubtedly an amazing resource.

Last night I put the new battery in to check systems before loading the car up tonight for the trip to Howard's tomorrow...

I got the gauges and electric fan to work, but the electric water pump and ignition are non-op. I may also have a hairline crack in the radiator.

I'll fiddle with it again tonight, but I may not be taking it up there this weekend. It would be a waste of Howard's time.

I ain't had time to look real close, but the Challenger's leakin' water in a couple different spots. Up by the radiator is one thing, but it's also leakin' somewhere at the back of the engine... It'll just hafta mark its spot 'til I kin git back 'round to it...

Since I wuz in the garage grabbin’ them parts fer Lou & Rick I figgered I’d poke my head up under the Challenger fer a look & see if I could tell where some of them leaks is comin’ from...

Ifn I follow the drip path from one of the puddles on up... it looks like... it comes from... the head gasket.

Maybe... just maybe... it’s running from somewhere else... along that parting line... to drip from the back of the head... to the oil pan rail... along the oil pan... and onto the header... maybe...

I ain’t gonna think about it no more fer now...

I’m goin’ to the banquet in the mornin’. :D

I'm going to have to move the Challenger back over to the Etown garage (displacing Toadracer) soon. I was hoping to get it running and on track before sending it back to that forgotten wasteland, but it was not to be... :|

What happened? You can store it at my place. The Daytona needs company.

Giving up a three car garage in the move and the new house is on a busy street with a short driveway not conducive to car trailers and junky cars that don’t run. Everything else will just be parked outside.
Getting ready for code enforcement to yell at me again...

I was able to make enough room in a storage unit to shoehorn the Challenger in with the Locost, Ginetta and bunch of assorted car nonsense. Hopefully I'll get it shoved in there tonight after work.
