I believe Mike's bench is 14". I don't think you can reliably convert the numbers, but it may work in some cases.

Lou
I believe that is why Mike does not toss around flow numbers. He mainly uses his bench for conformity between cylinders and to see what is actually happening in the port.

Lou's head is actually a pretty much a copy of my first head Mike did. :D

That is all a flow bench is really good for...you can take the best flowing head in the world and put the wrong intake and cam with it and what do you have???

Mike and I got a chance last year to discuss this last year in TN....fun conversation to say the least.

The Falcon six probably has a poorer head design than
the slant six. A new alloy non-crossflow small ford six
head is claimed to be in the works, estimated cost is
$1,000 to $1,500. We should wait a few months to see
whether this comes to fruition. It doesn't seem like a
group effort, which confirms that an autocrat with the
determination and cash is the only way to get it done.

I left the magazine at home or could of told you what size valves, I will check tonight and post.

My question is what led to the choice of going with a Pertronix kit and a points distributor? Maybe I am remembering the article incorrectly but wasn't there also a crank triggered upgrade for the FAST system, did that still use the Pertronix?

Tim, as for the small ford six head there are 5 variations 65-77 small log and 78-mid 80's large log head and then there's the Aussie 2v head =(intake seperate) and the Argentine head( also seperate intake and different from the Aussie head with #3&4 exhaust ports seperated) there is also a aluminum version of the Argie head avaiable. The head that is being worked on now is a aluminum version of the Aussie head with vast improvements, this head has been under developement for almost a year.I;m sure your aware of the mopar 6 head that CHI offers?Don't know for sure if it fits the american blocks.I've been lurking here for awhile to see what the other sixes are up to and compare ideas etc. I'm a fan of anything with a slant or straight six in it.There's definetly some nice rides over here.[/quote]

Why is the father the last to know?

BTW, if it matters, Mike told me his bench is 10".

I think the info of a slant six head is wrong in the above link.
Here's from the CHI site. No mention of slant six, only Ozzie Hemi6.
