Just recieved another package from Stewart Warner Corp.
T-shirts, hats, decals, and a large "banner".
We have enough T-shirts and hats, that every slant six entrant will get one.
Stewart Warner is really giving this race a lot of support. Please support them.
When you get to the track look for my RV, with the Stewart Warner "banner". I will have a table set up with a "sign up sheet", and "giveaways".

Hey Charlie I talked to Ron and I am going to make some simple cardboard signs for the slant six pit area and try to get a roll of flagging tape to mark off the pit area with. I think I have a roll of it somewhere in the shop, I will have to look for it. I have some crime scene tape but I am sure that you don't want that  . How many signs will you need? It will be next week before I can make them since I have graduation and all this week.

93.9FM in Moultrie GA is running ads for this race. No mention of the Slant Six Race in the program but they do advertise a Barracuda shoot out.
So, CharlieS, here's your shot at a 'Hat Trick'. Just be the Slant Six, Sportsman and Barracuda winner!

Well, the 134 seats quickly turned into 11 and we were third priority, so we didn't get out today. We'll try for a flight to Dover tomorrow. I heard from Tom Drake and he said he is not planning on attending the Georgia race.

Still hoping to make it....

Yes, us West coast SL6 racers have to stick together, we have less races and a lot more distance to travel to get to them.

Those South-East Racers have it easy, they have a bunch of races with-in a "stones-throw" from home! :P

You and I should do a "team drive" and get out to one of this year's "east side" events.
I could meet you in Reno, NV with my Dacuda and we could be accross the "big moutains & corn field" in a couple of days, as long as you don't mind driving around the clock and sleeping in the "fish bowl". (the back of the Dacuda!)
Road trip anyone??

Post subject:  Newsflash

Hey I just heard that next years show is going to be Mopar only, no brand X cars can race. There was such a huge showing of Mopars this year that the track has agreed to make it all Mopar. They said the racing turnout was way bigger than what they expected it to be.

It looks like the slant six pit area will have quite a few more cars also now that the word has got. I will be back, hopefully running in the 18's.

I had gotten a phone call, from the promoter, about two weeks after the race. He told me at that time, they would like the slant six cars back, for 2007. The race will be Memorial Day weekend.

Although I-40 would probably be the preferred route, If you were to cut down to the Dallas-Fort Worth area you could pick up I-20 toward southern GA. The reason I say this is, if you guys really do caravan eastward sometime, I'm in north Fort Worth. I've got plenty of eats, cold drinks, indoor plumbing, lots of secure room to park the rigs, and you could rack out in a real bed for a few hours. We never close, AND we speak American! (well okay, Texan...) RICK
