Quote: Some pictures of the rebalanced torque converter.
Called Midwest today to discuss a "one time" stall adjustment. I plan to reduce the stall from the 3200rpm to 2800rpm to make it a bit more freindly on the street and to utilize a bit more of the bottom end torque that is being bypassed now.http://tinyurl.com/2mkx3f http://tinyurl.com/3bnf37 Not pretty but it runs smooth. Does it seem like its to much to ask of an entirely new converter seeing as this one has a bunch of weight on it. They want me to send this one back so they can adjust the stall and build a new cover for it. It seems like the best way for me would be to have a new one built and shipped (temporaily pay for it) and take it to check the balance and then swap it out. The car would be down for a few hours and not at least a week. He said it was not their policy and would have to ask his boss if an exception could be made. |

I don't think you will find too many companies that would do that with a custom converter. He said it was not their policy and would have to ask his boss if an exception could be made. |
