Quote: Why can't a daily driver be 240hp? I'm confused, so is the goal 240hp after nitrous? Anyways I learned after I switched over to EFI I could put A LOT more cam into my engine and still have a soft idle.
Hi! I didn´t say it can¨t be 240hp daily driver, but I´m determined to not do any work on the shortblock including cam. If the rest of the work (head, manfiold, efi) turns up to be a 200hp that´s cool but I doubt it. I´ll post new dyno-numbers when I´ve got the new head on and the EFI installed, and we´ll take it from there The engine is pretty darn mild. I didn't touch the shortblock except for the cam. The head was shaved .1, 3 angle, polishing the bowls, and bigger valves. So after all that it seems like I can be hugging up to 200hp and gobs of torque. The EFI guestimate was simply knowing how much fuel is being sucked through the TBI, and refering it to the 350 I stole it off and knowing how much horsepower those kicked out. Also going off what other people have done and their known dyno numbers. Have a nice weekend |

If you don't want to touch the shortblock, including cam, then N2O or boost are the ways to get 200rwhp. No arguments here. Lou |

Hi I´ve been busy this weekend working on my second daily driver (yeah, the one NOT to be modified hehe) but I have scheduled a new paintjob for the Dart and I´m hoping my new head comes back early this week. My new ECU got stuck in the customs but I recon it´ll be here soon. Over and out! |

In reality, stock 413s produce a great deal more than 90 RWHP. |

Today my new MS ECU arrived and yesterday I cleaned out the enginebay. Next on the list is to give the enginebay a paint-up before I start working on a new wiring-harness. I´ll update with pics this weekend. |

Hi all! I haven´t update this thread for a while, but don´t worry I´m still on it Of course this project went mad (as they usually do) so at the moment I am waiting for Cam, Headers and new clifford head (Thanks Sean). I have stripped down the car, done some welding on the floor, painted it and installed a new carpet with 2 glasfibre bucket seats (3kg/each), welded in a strut tower brace in the back and installed new 4pt seatbelts. Enginebay is clean, and the car is ready for a new paintjob. Looks like this is what I´ll be running: 225" stock block (estimade time of survival? ) Clifford Head Clifford Cam (Mild) Clifford split headers MSD 6AL (Installed) Electronic dist (Installed) Alum. intake manifold, ported & rebuilt for 318" throttlebody (Installed) Megasquirt ECU (Installed) (Count in some sort of poweradder............) Also got myself a set of new 185/90 R15 Slicks from kumho.. Now looking for suitable tranny rearaxel.. along with springs. |
