Quote: I'm having trouble finding the dorman fittings in my area (vancouver, bc). any ideas? also, what length of fi hose is needed? expensive stuff...
I didn't find the Dorman brand, but went to the local auto part store (Schucks) and described what I needed:two 5/16" IV-flare-to-5/16"-hose-barb brass fittings, (both at 90 degree angles because I have the Carter BBS), and they had them in stock; about $8 a piece. And I got about 3 feet of hose, which was way more than enough. That was about $20. |

I tried Napa... pretty useless when it came to ordering the Dorman parts or cross-referencing the numbers, like they didn't want to be bothered. I'll just order from RockAuto and pay as much for shipping as the parts. |

I have 2 Dorman 90's I'll give you if you pay postage. I had to buy a box of 5 when I got them off the net. I can't ship til Friday as that is when I get back in the country. All I ask is sometime when you notice someone needing a part you is that you do the same. But see my previous post in this thread first. Let me know if you want them |

I just got a call that says I can only buy in a box of 5, and it would be 80 bucks for the box I need. What a crock, cancelling my order. I'll figure out a different way to do it. Lowbudget, thanks for the offer... I'll PM you, at least they'll work for the fuel pump outlet ![]() I'll see what parts I have laying around that I can offer up on here for free. |

Finally got the fuel mod installed. Had to find a straight fitting for the Holley 1920, but the dorman 90 worked great with the fuel pump (Thanks to Lowbudget ![]() I'll find out how it hot starts in the next few weeks. Gotta rebuild the carter carb on my supersix and then see how that works next ![]() |

you could also try like a home depot/lowes, they do stock brass fittings on the cheap. -Mike |

Sure, click on the red link below my name. Once the picture come up, double click to put into full screen slide show mode. Enjoy! ![]() By the way, my Dorman fitting was faulty and leaked like a sieve.......so I cut the stock metal fuel lines and put them back on and used fuel injection hose with double clamps on each end. |

SL6 Chile, Pictures are: 4, 5, 6, 16, 18, 21, 26, 27 & 29. 29 is the latest shot taken at the race track this summer. The lines go back to the fuel filter/fuel water separator, but most folks just run it from the pump and up and over the valve cover with a small inline filter to the carb. I had it running like that but plumbed the water separator in do to our local gas station having old tanks with lots of water.....Summit Racing.com sells them |

does this mod not apply to trucks because they are allready running a metal fuel line behind the the alternator with a 3 port filter and the hose over the valvecover to the carb, or is it best to still replace the metal with the fuel injection hose as stated........ or maybe this is just a problem with the cars? thanks in advance |
