Well, I am the engine builder he'd be calling, since I built this one for him... I am sure that thing will move like a bat outta hell... but can it keep up with the rest of us? That will have to be proven at the track...

well i'm very sorry everyone, but i have to cansel sundays slant six meet.

this was a very hard decision that i did not want to make.

but the recent problems @ the shop forced me to make it.

with in a week or two i'll be out of a job, i came up here as a last resort. i didn't wan't to be a mechanic but after a few months i started to really like it. once i got decent @ it and tooled up it got easyer everyday. i took the chance to build up my dart, get a sweet truck and start swingergrrl'z project.

i'll be sad to see the shop go.

Dang, that's too bad. I'm sorry the shop is closing.

Anyone have a venue near Seattle or maybe between Portland and Seattle? Olympia maybe? We might be able to get more people from down South if we could meet in the middle. I know some folks in Olympia myself and might be able to use their space. Should I ask?

Bummer! :( Sorry to hear the shop is closing and you are losing your job!

The only places I know of to hold a meet are ones you have to rent. I'll look around though...

well i was mentioning to michael the other day we could have the meet @ golden gardens. it's a park in ballard on the beach in solshoe bay next to the marina. there is tons of covered areas, bbq's and parking for miles.

i coudl get there early and block off some parking spots and take over a covered area.

there is also bathrooms!

it's been a haven to muscle cars and back in the day illegal street racing.

miles of beach and parking lots

if you guys still want to do it! i have 2 trophys made! from broken exhaust manifolds! there mounted on wood bases and are pretty damn cool looking!

i hope to win most bling on a dart!

and we can have a free drawing / raffel prize for my old AC system, it's complete and it works!

we could even pot luck this, just because we can't have it @ the shop dosen't mean we shouldn't do it.

google maps: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 3&t=h&z=17

feel free to fix that link for me admins!

it has 3 parking lots!
