Quote: That's a sweet drawing. Definitely on the right track. Do you have at least one carb laying around? My next step would be to lay a carb on a throttle bore, to see how much room the carb takes up. You'll need room for linkages, which has been mentioned. 1920's don't line up like the holley six pack carbs on the v8s
I don't have any spare carbs sitting around, I only have the one barrel intake and the one barrel carb. Too bad they're both being used ![]() |

Dartman, Please downsize your signature avatar to a width of less than 300, rather than letting it be resized. Makes life easier for dialup users........... thanks |

hit up a junkyard in your area. see if you can find one there. try to find one thats frozen and see if you can pick it up for super cheap. you don't need a working carb at the moment, and your gonna need a couple a matched carbs anyway for the final product. |

hey these old north carolina teenagers must be on 2 somthing. ive had that idea in my head so long, but my only problem is welding cast iron you might have 2 have it CNC machined (but that could mean more power though) or go 2 a foundry and have 1 poored |

Yeah, but that's probably gonna cost more money than me or my parents have.

Or you could just do what they do in Pro Stock Racing $40.00 in sheet metal and a welder and you will have a sheet metal intake ![]() |

Doug Dutra ought to be able to say something about welding cast iron. It's what he does to make the Dutra Duals. I personally like finding an Al manifold and TIG welding your tri-carb plenum onto it. Suggest spacing out the carbs so that you can use an off-the-shelf progressive linkage. Since you are re-orienting the carbs, you'll probably want to swap to a V-8 throttle cable. It's shorter and will reach to the center carb. Also, remember to take out the choke plate on the end carbs. You won't be needing them. |

What linkage would you recomend?

I like the idea of 3-2.2 Mopar Holleys. tiny primaries 2 stage down draft carbs. |
