Jon, just saw this post. Are you sure it is a 5.38 set in the 7 1/4? I don't recall them ever being available. The lowest I am aware of it a 5.13 (I have one). Also I do not recommend a 7 1/4 with a stick trans.

yes. I purchased it from Doc, I think he stated it was direct connection item. It's for sale , I sold the 7.25 posi rear for good $$$ to a man from MA. he drove down and picked it up. nice slanter, He has an aspen. I'm thinking more towards disk brake rear, but no $$$ right now and looking for something that might work without a lot of mods..
