Quote: Made 4 runs Saturday at NW.
And she fast and consistent too! Two runs were 6.41 and one was a 6.42. But she back and ready to go. Tom That's awesome Tom. Next year should be really fun. Are you going to make any of the other Slant 6 races this season or just stay local and work on removing that throttle stop? |

Stay local. Business has picked up to the point I can not afford to leave for three days to make St.Louis or Indy. We plan to keep tuning and be ready for Farmington. Might even try to see what it would take to be the first slant six doorslammer in the 5's in the 1/8. Cameron told us he has been running 16# of boost for about 7 yrs now so that kind of got us inspired to start thinking about turning the old girl up a little....especially since Dale is starting to knock on the door. Four more pounds of boost would really be a ride! Tom PS - I have some pictures that I will send you tonight or tomorrow morning. |

Nice thing about the turbo is you actually get to enjoy the shade instead of always working in it. |
Nitrous cars are like old men on viagra. Once the bottle is empty, they're useless.
Gotta love a little smack-talk! Well, Dale has the blower, now, and Tom has the turbo...who's got juice that can hang with them? |

My money would be on Mike Jeffrey. Imagine what his combination would be like in a lighter car! Will Burns in his Oh So Low 'Cuda is right up there as well. |

It was bouncing around pretty good in the left lane on Saturday, I can only imagine what it would have been like on Sunday(That is part of the reason we did not try to come back). I let up once but it was livable the rest of the time. The is probably the last time we run that fast there. Track seem to be a little rougher than I remember it from 2 yrs ago. Looks like Mooresville this weekend and take a little more mechanical stop out of it...... |

And once the throttle stop is adjusted all the way out, then the boost goes up, right!? |

The best run of the weekend was a headsup run with a gutted 1940's Dodge truck. I left first and he nipped me right in the lights. He was running a 509ci indy head 440. He comment "man that thing was really running on top end." Man those cars looked cool running against each other. |

Nostalgia Baby! Gotta Love it! No E.T.'s or throttle stop or boost settings mentioned. Hmmmm? Me thinks Mr. Drake is just biding his time to see what the other Slant 6 folks come up with. Then he'll sorta nonchalantly turn a knob or press a key or two on his laptop and open up "A Can Uh Whoop-Ass!" I like that! |

Okay then. I'm in! I can do lots of things wrong! Seriously though Tom. Is there any recommended reading or anything that helped you along in your process to Turbo Bliss? |
