Yes there are aluminum (?) heads in existance. The numbers are questionable however.

These heads were developed (or perhaps reverse engineered) by German scientists liberated from Nazi hands.

The widow of a Groom Lake maintenance worker remembers her husband talking of crate upon crate of freshly machined cylinder heads - undeniably Chrysler Slant Six components. The heads had no recognizable markings but instead were covered with symbols not unlike Egyptian hieroglyphics. The only reason he knew of the exsistance of these heads was a crate was accidentally broken, while off loading a truck which had come from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. As soon as the crate was damaged all personel were removed from the area and reassigned to another complex.

Some of these German scientists had been rumored to have retired in Argentina.

My research continues......... Did someone mention BEER? Perhaps a good German beverage.
All those heads are now housed at Area 51.

Had considered making a aluminium head for the slant this was 2007....?
No word of it on the site, perhaps if enough people wanted it?

Think I will have to settle for the pony...

That's the issue, a couple people have already had the means to cast a head, but not enough people will agree on what it should be, or come up with any money.

In all seriousness... if someone made an exact copy of the casting forms that Chrysler had used for years and pour aluminum instead of cast iron would that work?
I only ask because I thought I had read several times that the slant six was actually designed to be used with aluminum. Maybe too many problems with the metals like Doug's twiggy engine or something? Just taking the opportunity to learn some history!

Doug explained that you can not use a casting mold from the iron head because the aluminum will expand/contract differently. It has to be it's own core.

Some of the scianctist wound up in Oak Ridge Tenn about twenty miles from where Rodney Harigs lives. He showed me a head that he said came from a air force base but did not know where but did not know what it was made out of. But a magnet did not stick to it. Thanks Ron :D

Newbie here, I spoke with Smitty @ Edelbrock a few days ago. He' in the valve train department and we spoke about a Slant head from Edelbrock. He said, " All I can tell you... is not yet." He asked if seeing the AMC/Jeep head prompted my call. I told him yes it did. He assured me I wasn't the first person to call in about a Slant head..... I believe if everyone who reads this calls their customer service line and asks about a Slant head they'll get that thing dialed in a lot quicker on the flow bench.

There were more than three factory aluminum heads.

I saw the 4.0L build on the power block.....made me envious. You're right, I think it will take some prodding from interested parties. I'd buy one!!!

Thanks for your response man. Yeah I also mentioned to Smitty that the market is there, just look online at the forums. Not just nation wide but our border countries as well. Consumer demand drives the market.
