Here is the Link to the Mason Dixon Dragway, where it lists Motels.

http://www.masondixondragway.com/Hotels.htm

I rode by most of these today. And since the hotel and Convention center closed up I thought I'd give you my opinion. I'm sure all of the ones listed are Ok, but if you are coming with a car trailer, some do not have good parking for them.

Red Roof Inn, in Williamsport, MD. about 10 miles form track. Seymour, and Ron Heath have stayed there before. This one is not listed on their web site, so I will list the phone number shortly.
310 E Potomac St Williamsport, MD 21795
(301) 582-3500

Best Western, Venice Hotel - Lots of parking behind the hotel. About 6 miles from the track

Comfort Suites - Parking behind the motel- about 4 miles from the track.

The Comfort Suite price is not listed,so I called them and it is $99 for a double room, plus you get a 20% off if you tell them you are from Mason-Dixon. This motel is close to a lot of restaraunts..etc. Actually all of them are. It is also one of the newest ones.

Camping at the track is free, and you can leave your car and trailer there if you like. Usually a couple of our racers stay at the track.

Rick

I did check with Elmer and there is no T & T on Friday evening. So it will be racing Saturday and Sunday.

The cost to race is $35 each day. Please remember that when you come to the entrance gate, to tell them that you are racing "Slant 6" and pay them $15. They will give you your tech card and then come back into the pits and find the Slant 6 crazies! You will then give me the other $20 which goes towards our payout.

For any 1st timers, don't worry, we will help you out getting your tech card filled out and show you what needs to be done.

Rick

Thanks, Rick! I am gearing up. Still not decided on which car to bring, but likely Project V.

Maybe we will run a heads-up race if I get my other gears in?

That also crossed my mind. More incentive for me to bring the V.

Sorry Rick...

Swim meet and a band concert that weekend...

I should just put everything in long term storage until all the kids move out... Or sell it... Or give it away...
