Quote: I would say a dedicated EFI manifold that uses a particular throttle body and IAC, with injector bosses and rail/mounts would be a good idea. There are other manifolds out there already with EFI bosses and for 4bbl or 2bbl (Aussiespeed, Clifford).
I would definitely be down for one of these!Hope something like this can come through. Aspen76 |

Quote: I'm all for a good EFI intake and by good I mean one that follows design principles Toyota used on the 2JZ-GE engine. I designed a split-plenum sheet metal EFI intake manifold myself, but was going to use 2 throttle bodies rather than the Y used by Toyota. Hell, just make the lower manifold for the slant and use the Toyota upper....
I would like to see an intake with provision for MPFI that could use later model Chrysler F.I. components. I don't rule out use of other makers' parts, even foreign makers, but it seems that every time I turn around someone wants to stick a Ford or GM part in their MOPAR. Hey, it's their car, their money and their choices. I grew up on MOPARs and would like to use Chrysler technology wherever I can. .....much snippage..... Just a voice crying out in the wilderness..... ATB BC |

It goes without saying that if you make any parts I can try on my wifes street slant car, or my drag race slant car.....I will test them. ![]() especially the timing cover, and aluminum head......LOL |

Im looking at my existing patterns for the Chevy Head and thinking what needs to be modified to make if fit a Slant. The 4 cylinder version of my head makes 375 HP on a 160 cubic inch Midget race engine, thats 2.34 HP/cubic inch. A 225 with that same HP/cubic inch ratio is 526.5......sounds good! 4 cylinder race head with mechanical fuel injection intake.... ![]() Here's the Chevy head, just need to move the chambers and ports closer together to get the right bore spacing and a few other things. ![]() Slant 6 mechanical fuel injection anyone.... ![]() Slant race block could be close to reality also.... ![]() The possibilities are endless. |

The angled intake port might not work out for the Slant, but its a starting point, don't cost much to try it out either, thats the good part. |

I really like the looks of this head. If you can figure out how to squeeze it down to slant six dimensions I will try to get Ryan to build one for his car. I think we could figure out how to make the angles work. Need to build a new set of headers anyway. It might save a few pounds too. |

If we're talking about redesigning the slant's head, what about making a head that would make direct injection possible? Would be interesting. |

where exactly is your shop gonna be set up in N. GA ?? I'm in Jacksonville, Fl and barring my current Navy commitments would love to help on the design/build/testing phase ![]() I know everyone would love a 2 piece alum timing cover, but what about a gear drive set up, or belt drive for timing ?? and I think using a B/RB water pump on a modified slant housing would be awesome, as long as it physically fits and is dimensionally sound lol and how bout a full serpentine conversion I know I would totally buy a set lol -Mike |
