I have placed the intake manifold (P/N 2129898)/carb (P/N AO 2848S) and the exhaust manifolds (P/N 2129900 & 2129898) on e bay.

Is that a GM AFB? IIRC the Hyperpak used a 273 AFB. The fuel inlet looks like a Buick AFB I have.

Is the ebay ad correct - you will not ship, pick-up only?

No it used a 3803 Carter. Long before the 273. They just list that carb as a easy replacement for the un-obtainamum original carb. Jim told me that the intake has a 2848S Carb on the intake.

Any guess on what the parts will go for? Anyone think the exhaust goes for more than the intake?

Jerry supposedly got $2400 for the set he had and they were not very good at all.

By that standard these should bring $3K easy, but the economy isn't what it used to.bo.

I think that Jerry also drug those parts around to various swap meets for several years before he got that selling price,,

WV talked to Jerry more than I did,, but I remember him saying that if he did not get the price he wanted, the hyperpac manifolds will be buried with him...

What is questionable is that Jerry always said he got $2400 but I never heard anyone say they paid $2400 for them! LOL Those things were a wreck.

I would love to have a set but I am afraid they will always be priced out of my league.

OK did some research. That carb is from a 1960 PD4 383. It was the RB with the 3.75" stroke. Rare carb.

I looked at them a few times. They had been painted to cover up a lot of welding on both intake and exhaust pieces. If he got $2400 P. T. Barnum was right. There's a sucker born every minute.
