Pishta, How does yours run. It looks quite nice. I was showing this site to a friend and when we came to the photos of your engine he thought it was a V-6 at first glance because of the valve cover used for the plenum on one side. That was very clever.

I would be very interested in your evaluation of the performance of it to date.

time will tell. I have yet to install the MS EFI. soon. I expect a smooth idle and snappy throttle, as I still use the stock cam. What is the concensus on tubular header style turbo manifolds? Compared to logs, they would seem to lose alot of radiant heat as opposed to a cast log and their volume is 3X of a log. Never seen a comparison unless someone has a link. I would be interested. This is a nice design if you can TIG weld.

You have not made provision for the exhaust in the intake flange yet.

Richard, that is a 3D drawing of a Mercedes EFI intake that olafla posted a link to back on page 3. Its a crossflow style head so the exhuast is on the other side of the head.

I would make it as a casting, it would be much cheaper and faster than fabbing it.

I can do all the 3D modeling, patternmaking, aluminum casting and machining in-house, so it would only be time invested as pretty much the only cost.

I like it already. Its okay with me to not use OEM A/C mounting. I think the
A/C compressor might mount lower where the power steering pump would be.

wa.....wa......wa.....well, sign me up for one! Seriously, that would be a drop dead deal for us slant squirters! If you are looking for slant part ideas, how about a trigger wheel that bolts behind the balancer like the old multi pulleys did, and maybe a bolt on Ford VR pickup bracket for same wheel with radial and depth adjustments. Just thinking.....Keep us informed of your progress!

A trigger wheel is no problemo. There is a actually a thread from about 6 months ago in the "Other" section about many new products that I was planning to offer. But yeah, get me a drawing of the trigger wheel and I can make some up.

Will do! It will be a skeletal design with a large open center to clear the oil seal and have 3 equally spaced mounting bolt holes to mate up to the balancer hub holes. Ill try and cad it for you or make a good working dimensional drawing of it. Will have to use stand-offs on the mounting bolts to keep it off the pulley portion and be able to reach the threads. Exciting stuff!

I'm interested in the EFI intake and would love to give feedback on a design. I like the front mounted TB best. Setting the injectors 2-4" back from the port entry would be good, partly to avoid heat soak with our exh manifold ports running right next to the int ports. I get substantial heat soak and weird injector behavior due to this issue. This is after fully heating up the engine, shutting down, then restarting in the range of 3 min and 20 min after that.

Regarding ignition wheel: I am planning to buy the DIYAutoTune crank trigger wheel and drill out the center with a step drill. Seems easy and cheap to me, and no need to engineer anything new.

Lou, that wheel is huge and hangs your vr sensor out past the balancer. My design is going behind the balancer, and will mount the vr sensor right onto the chain cover. Snug and stable. Stay tuned.

OK, cool. I was partly thinking that CNC-Dude's time might be better spent on stuff that is really new to the community and is not easy for a home DIY-er to make (cast or machine).

Thank's Lou, I personally like the front mount TB concept as well. It also gives the user the ability to connect to a fresh inlet air source closer to the front of the car without a lot of extra tubing length and unnecessary bends.

Lou,any thoughts on a starting point for runner lengths.
