True Dat. I definitely prefer the more ratty look on gassers. There is a guy here with a very nice 55 Chevy with nice paint and chromed everything. Not my thing. |

Is the 36 Dodge with the slant 6 also yours or is that another project at the straight axle shop? Greg |

Not mine. Just a cool coincidence. Craig has been building race cars for decades. He was big into circle track late model stuff. He got into the nostalgia drag car thing because it is so cool. He builds all sorts of stuff. Last weekend there were 51 Gassers at US 60. |

Hmmmm.... This fender is usable for some graft work. The driver side is too far gone. Need to decide this before welding in the leaf spring perches... Just fer you, Dick and Joe.

I wouldn't cut the bumper. Just take it off. are they interchangeable between Lancers and Valiants? I am sure someone can use it. Greg |

Lancer bumpers are different. They have a peak in the middle. The pic is just for demonstration. |

Bumper'd have to go of course, "FX"s didn't morph into funny cars 'til later. Snag a broadside pic of'er, and post it up with a list of the dimensions of the changes you'd like to see on this thread over at the HAMB. The Photoshop wizards there respond well to polite, here's a color sample they did for El Toad. It's right on the money of what I want when I finish the S/D conversion. If you like, I'd submit it for you if you post here. |

That's cool! I saw the color and thought, "Wait! What about the S/D redo!?" I don't want to paint it just yet. I want to keep the rugged patina look for now. We can cut and tack the front wheelwell forward for now so that Craig can get the axle placed. The major rear surgery will wait for another time more than likely. |

They'd enjoy doing the front wheel well mod without a paint job as well (check out some of'em in the trhead). And'd likely like to do a second one with the rear wheel well for the future as well. They also like it when someone actually follows through on his request, especially when he posts it back up for'em. Plus, it's cool to get to see your mods before you cut steel. |
