Congratulations to Lou And Greg! :D :D

Please note that Sunday's race has been canceled. I talked to the owner and they planned to cancel due to all the expected rain coming in for the next 3 days. I will post more after I get some sleep.

Sending you over the points Rob.

Yes turnout was low, and rain was coming so we just called it last night. That way we could pack all our stuff up and bring it home last night. No need to load up in the rain! :D

Again congrats to Lou for the win, Greg for the R/U. Ryan also added about 120# , I think, and reset the B gas record down around 7.13 or so. I believe that was on my run against him where I had a .008 light and lost to him! :( :(

I will post some pictures later today.

We did have 1 new rookie with us- Johnny Miles drove my truck and had a nice time.

Very cool! Thanks Rick!

How did Hoppy do at the top end with the changes? More stable?

well we only ran 1/8th mile and there was one pass where Ryan attempted to run the car out, however in the shutdown area the trans brake or rear brakes totally engaged locking the rear wheels - It was bizarre. Ryan got it slowed safely after that and did not hit walls or anyone.

I am sure he will chime in to discuss more.

Greg

I got a pretty good video on it launching. With the extra 120# it pulled the wheels a bit! :D :D

So, yes it does seem more stable at high speed but I only ran that one pass at full 1/4 mile speed.

The rear did completely lock up and slide to a complete stop. Thankfully it slowly locked up and didn't fully lock up at 120 mph. It didn't seem to fully lock up until I was under 50mph up to that point it just felt like I was stomping the brakes. It slid and smoked the tires until it came to a complete stop and as soon as it was stopped it released and drove back the return lane like nothing happened. It did smell like burnt wires though so I started searching for a short.

The next pass it worked fine but the oil temp gauge was no longer working. The pass after that the car would no longer start because it blew a fuse. The pass after that the line lock quit working. All that to say there is some sort of electrical issue and I'm assuming it somehow shorted and it tried to engage the transbrake at full speed. That pass was my scariest pass to date and every pass the rest of the night was a little unsettling. I have some work to do for sure.

It did seem to launch well with the extra weight. I never really tried to push it and launch at higher rpms but I was happy with the way it handled there. Maybe I can get a video posted.

Congrats to Lou for winning and Greg for getting Ruster back out and finishing 2nd. Everyone loves seeing Ruster and are shocked it goes as fast as it does, glad its back on the track.
