Solid lifters need adjustment like, hardly ever. Once an engine is set up and 'settles in', there is no reason the valvetrain will change dimensionally. Especially true for a Slant Six. Especially in 2021 when no one really seeks to assemble a Six and run it 100K miles without ever touching it. |

Right.....I THOUGHT about making that argument, but said to hell with it. There are those among us who'll never listen to anything. Not speaking of anyone here, just making a general statement. People get "what they've heard" or "what they've read" (normally incorrectly) stuck in their minds and absolutely refuse to listen to anyone with real experience.

Oh, and the one point I left out of this little write up is.....when I said the two lifters are 100% completely interchangeable, I was regarding the slant six, not the big block. Since the slant six lifters I'm talking about HERE do not have the hole in the side body, there's no "in hole" for the big block, so the slant six lifter without the side hole would not work in the big block.....not that I could ever imagine anyone even thinking of doing THAT. Some things you just "FIGURE" go without saying, but I came back to say it anyway. LOL |

And for information's sake, I've also ordered a Comp 820-1 lifter to inspect it as well. It'll be a bit though, as the single lifter has to come straight from Comp. Although several vendors showed one in stock, true to form, that was not the case. |

So if it feeds oil through the rockers will roller rockers cause issues lubricating with hydraulic lifters? |

I know of no one making a hydro-roller rocker, however, if they used the type of "waisted" & drilled adjuster screw with an oil feed hole from the threads to the shaft, that'd work. The Harland-Sharp's have that setup on the Olds & others. It'd depend on the fulcrum, honed body/bushing with a groove'd work well, needle brgs with an indexed hole in the outer race, maybe not so great....
