If ya ain't gonna mat it and sidestep the clutch you might as well put a Powerglide in it.

I guess I deserve that comment.
Mr. Zilla has a point.
Going to be a long winter stewing on that.

Remember, I'm the guy who makes 4 time runs in the car, then rolls in to a $10K race and runs in Box without a box in the car.

I r not smart.

I been busy, not just with my Colt but other things.
I have had a chance to get the cam in the right place.
And installing new Strange front calipers.

I was speaking to Mr. Slant Six, Mark Goodman about cam walk.
Mark was gracious to produce this cam button for me and it is exactly what I have been looking for.
A HUGE shoutout out to Mark.
Thank you Mark!
Yee-Haw!!!

Interesting. How does it attach to the bolt head and not come off? Is it Delrin or Nylon or? Enquiring minds...

Looks good! No adjustment then? Does it just rides against the timing cover?

Dennis I am looking to sit down and eat a piece of pizza and drink a beer with you.
And at the race I will dump the clutch at whatever RPM you do with your slush-box.
What is it, a power silde?

Lou
Lou, Delrin.
It can not come off because there is only .050 between the button and the cover.
It's the same idea as the cheby button sold by a few cam companies.
It fits tight to the 5/8 cam bolt, it's an interference fit.
Mark made me two parts, one for a street motor and one for a race motor.
I hope one day to have a race motor.

I keep saying motor, you know that should be replaced with engine.

BTY there is a patent on this item and I own the exclusive rights to this part.

Rick, we just did some measurements and Mark did his magic.
It fits tight on the bolt head and sandwiches between the cover.
I can just rock the cam forward and feel the timing cover start to move.
This is just like the 440 button I have in my 440 engine that I used to run years ago.

Last year the 2step was set at 3800. New converter this year, it will be closer to 4500.
