It's a shame it doesn't sit 'flush' with the hood.....

I ain't completely forgot 'bout the Challenger...

Last night I finally made some time to start pulling the pinion yoke to replace the leaky brand new seal in the Challenger. As usual, I didn't have the particular tools I needed to complete the job with me... so,...

I started looking at the grill piece I want(ed) to make... I didn't have any pieces of plexiglass or thin metal big enough, so... I grabbed the original grill (which ain't nearly as heavy as I remembered... ) and decided I would just make new mounts for that instead. My fabrication skills are questionable anyway. This will be easier and only a pound or two heavier.

Well,... 6 months later,... but I actually touched the Challenger this evening.

I even put them big tars & wheels on it.

Planning on a couple test & tunes before Clay City.

I got the grill mounted and cut a piece of metal to close up the large area under the grill.

That should help with some of the aero stuff.

I’ve been hesitant to change the fiberglass hood scoop myself, but I may give it a try. The Six Pak scoop is cool and Mopar, but it is not the greatest design.
