76 was the best MPH.
1/4 or 1/8?

Reason I ask is it may not all be your launch. It seems like it's not making much steam downtrack.
So now you are playing nice.......

It doesn't zing if that is what you are wondering.
It sounds busy but might be much ado about nothing.
1/8.
But at Mokan there was not much speed increase from 1/8 to the 1/4.
But I thought it was because I did not have full pedal.

Another reason to put the 2.66 box in to see if it will pick up.
That and increase the rev limiter and shift point.
Scary shix there......
What are you running for fuel? WAG is it's pig rich.

76 in the 1/8th should be around 9.0.

76 MPH is starting to get into the ballpark of what the car should run. I would say more like 80-85 would be right. Something is definitely way improved relative to MoKan!

It's not rich, plugs are clean and no smoke puffs from the headers.

It's 102, street race gas with lead.

It is better than MOKAN for sure.

We are headed to Floydada to meet with Don Hardy's son today and get pictures in front of the race shop.
Wanted to do this before Mr. Hardy died a while back.
Missed that window.

Awesome day!
600 mile round trip, but worth every minute of it!
Donald is very much like his Father and treated us so well.
We started the Colt on Don Hardy Motorway and 5th street downtown Floydada.
Then parked in front of the Race Shop where my Colt was fabricated some 50 years ago.
We tried to recreate the same photo of Don Hardy in front of the shop with my Colt.
Donald Hardy and I stood behind the Colt in much the same spot.
Donald then showed us much of what they do and some of his car collection.
Only downer was Mr. Hardy was not with us to enjoy the moment.

Transmission parts on order, hope they get here soon and I get the trans built.
If it doesn't go, I will be building another engine.

Was Billy Stepp Related to Bob Stepp of Slant 6 Fame?

I don't think so. Billy was a mob guy. Quite an interesting character really.
