No Jeb, I own a house, and after having traveled to various racetracks for more than thirty years I've made some great racing friends all over the country. When "The Race" comes to my town my place becomes the dorm room, meeting hall, repair depot, chow hall, et al for all those friends and they host in turn when there is an event in their local area. Even when they're not in race mode, having a friendly oasis in a strange and unfamiliar place is a good thing. Case in point: My daughter became very ill while flying back to Michigan from Texas for school. One phone call to some racing friends ( in this case St Louis ) and a father's fears were relieved. I hosted the parents of an old east coast friend when their motorhome had trouble near Fort Worth. Stories like this a plentiful. It's what makes car people the aces they are. RICK
