We should be able to roll out of here quite a bit earlier this trip.

It's pushing 400 miles. I would like to take 199 over to the coast, then cruise down the coast. Due to the roads we'll be traveling, if I have my short gears back together, I might talk Fopar into staying on his short gears, and doing the low speed burn down there.

We'd leave I-5 at Grants Pass anyway.

So probably around two or three.

If I don't get the short gears back together, I'll be on my Freeway gears for the event. That'll slow me up, but it's better than missing out!

CJ

Edit! While my short gears wouldn't hurt me too much going over the hill, Fopar's really wouldn't be that easy on fuel. We'll go out to the track to change out our gears, then Fopar will ride over to your place for camping fun.

See you sometime Friday afternoon!

Sorry to to here about Paul's fall...We were all really wanting to see him and that neat tear drop trailer...See you at Medford..
We are headed out around 9:00am on Friday and should be at the track around 3:00 when Glen gets there. I think both Andrew and Jessica might be there a little earlier. Will the track management have the main section open so we can set up camp after 2:00? I know Glen has a key for the first gate, but as I understand it, there is a second security gate that needs to be opened...Later from Chico...Wayne/Aric

Yes, Andrew is working like a 'mad dog' to make this a great event... ( we visited him over the weekend)

Does anyone have the "gates open" and "start racing" times for Saturday and Sunday?

Hi 'Doc', If I am not mistaken they have the gate opening times posted at the Samoa website. At least I think that I found them there earlier. See you on Friday?!

Hi Andrew: Just got a call from Dave Mueller and he has figured out his electrical problem and has the wagon running on all '6'. He is a 100% go for Samoa...Just seeing Dave run his wagon near 10 seconds is worth the price of admission. This slant6 runs a 5 speed Lenco transmission...launchs at 7000 rpm and shifts at 7000. What a sight...BEE at Samoa this weekend to support our team...
Andrew/Doug..Count Aric and I in for cookhouse...Thanks for making this new slant6 event a reality.
We are on the road at 9:00am on Friday so that should get us in around 3:00 at the track. Later from Killer Bee Headquarters...Wayne/Aric/David

And... I have another carburetor problem.

With the exhaust manifold clean up, I have a lean surge. I'll be working on it tonight. Hopefully I can get it straightened out.

Oh dear.

What do you know. A hole in the hood of the Hooptie.

That should put a bunch of drag on the car.
