1.5" primaries will work fine for any reasonable engine. At 37 cubes/cylinder, we don't need anything more.

Hey now, my new motor will be 40 per hole.

well we could get them to "step" them 1 1/2 to a 1 5/8? Like I said we will start with one that fits most and work from there. :D

Would they just use the Clifford Shorties as a template for the Wysco headers? We are aiming at longer length of pipe and diameter right?

I would think they could use the Clifford shorties for the upper part, and just extend the primary pipes to 30-34". Same diam pipe (1.5") will be just fine.

I just got off the phone with Joseph at Wysco and they will be scouting SEMA for slant headers and related items. Im going to send is site info and some other stuff to him today. If you wish to help in this explain your sending stuff to him to help see what is out there , and remember not what you want! , and give him pics of headers to base ideas from. Good ones too.they will work out the details with our input as they go length, tube size, etc....
joseph@wysco.com is the contact email and tell him you are helping Cody in tucson.

yeah I think SEMA may not yield much fruit there. I think the best approach would be a unified design and single point of contact for this project, not a bunch of people just sending them ideas. I was offering the clifford shorties to use as template for the front half, and then as Lou suggested doing an extension.

The question is are we all agreed on the design, and is there anyone who will take the lead on this? I cannot, since I am starting a new job and buying a house, but I will be happy to supply the headers.

What do you guys think about this approach?

I should have elaborated a little on this.

Remember how this all started? http://www.jegs.com/i/Wysco/938/MA028/10002/-1

Are we sure we want to trust (work on design, ship samples, etc) to a company that offers parts to Jegs before they have even designed them? If Wysco is "talking about doing slant headers" why are they selling them??? Isn't this why everyone hates Clifford? They make promises, take money, orders, etc. before they have the product to ship???

Personally, If they think they are going to find anything slant related at SEMA I don't think they are a capable company worth our time. My .02c
