swingergrrl73's car is here it became un-driveable tonight, she borrowing the volare to get home. the entire front end shakes like crazy. i did adjust and clean the brakes today and that helped a ton but seems like almost everything is loose in the front of her car. so if we get a chance we should look @ it. all the shop bays are full so we where working on it outside and ran out of daylight. i have no idea what is wrong with it.

i'm stoked as hell to see everyone, this should be fun!

bummer reed i was hoping u where gonna make it!

I tried a red bull once. It was back when I was doing stagehand work. It tasted nasty and didn't really do anything for me. Of course, at that point I was drinking enough Mountain Dew to stay awake at gigs that I would get heart palpatations....

One time I worked a show up in Bellingham where I stayed awake for four days. Driving back to Tacoma from Bellingham was quite an experience. I had the A/C on and the window down, I had the radio cranked up, I was biting my hand as hard as I could, and I was still falling asleep. I was so tired when I got home that I couldn't fall asleep. But when I did, I slept for about 12 hours and was a zombie for two days.

I will see if I can get enough work done tonight to make it up there for a bit.

as soon as i find my mini usb adapter i will post pictures!

award winners are:

best engine - michael
most beautifull car - midi
un-safe car award - "gomer" the volare
best slant six car - eric w.

it was great to see such a turn out, i'll start getting plans underway for a spring or early summer seattle meet & BBQ @ the shop!

my brother noel made an impact in a red dodge truck with an inline 6 diesel cummins, there are still huge pices of rubber in the parking lot.

special thanks to sixshotvanner & reed for traveling the furthest distance to make it here.

The judging was not the most neutral I have ever seen, and the judge was, perhaps, not the most qualified....

Dang, this was a fun meet. I really like getting together and doing the work people need done on their cars too. If we do another i think we should have a designated project to get finished at the meet, i.e. adjust someone's valves, tune a carb, rebuild something, etc... If I had had more time (and a few spare parts) I could have had Gomer (the tan Volare) running like new.

Quote of the day, "Hey, you guys know that punk in the red truck?"
