My 1920 carb kit came with a thick cardboardish gasket. 1920 fuel bowls are easily warped, and no matter what I tried, this gasket pissed gas all over the intake manifold.

Got a sheet of thin cork gasket material from Lardco and used the old gasket as a stencil, to cut a new gasket... Result = no more leak. I'm a little worried about a little piece of cork breaking off inside the fuel bowl, but so far so good.

That's a good idea.

$15 is fair for the whole carb. But if you can't find any other source for the replacement part, fair is what fair does.

No, just for the lever.

Try and find a carburetor shop in town, or look around at junkyards, swap meets, craigslist, or post an ad on this board. However, if you can't find any other lever, then $15 is a good (read the only) price to pay.

Is there room in an old Dart for a pussy magnet? Where would one install a pussy magnet?

Borat knows best.

Nice, so long as the geometry between your repair and the original pump are is identical. In other words, nice, so long as the hole you made is in the same spot as the hole in the original plastic arm.

I like people who are creative enough to fix their own problems.
