My 1920 carb kit came with a thick cardboardish gasket. 1920 fuel bowls are easily warped, and no matter what I tried, this gasket pissed gas all over the intake manifold. Got a sheet of thin cork gasket material from Lardco and used the old gasket as a stencil, to cut a new gasket... Result = no more leak. I'm a little worried about a little piece of cork breaking off inside the fuel bowl, but so far so good. |

That's a good idea.

GOOD NEWS! the 68 225 DODGE DART A.K.A. The Sage is now running. But I'm still missing the accel pump lever, a Guy was trying to sale it to me for $15 used is that fair? |

$15 is fair for the whole carb. But if you can't find any other source for the replacement part, fair is what fair does. |

Try and find a carburetor shop in town, or look around at junkyards, swap meets, craigslist, or post an ad on this board. However, if you can't find any other lever, then $15 is a good (read the only) price to pay. |

Nice, so long as the geometry between your repair and the original pump are is identical. In other words, nice, so long as the hole you made is in the same spot as the hole in the original plastic arm. I like people who are creative enough to fix their own problems. |
